Rev Gerard Ryan CCS

Assistant Priest

Rev. Fr. Gerard Ryan CCS is a religious and priest of the Confraternity of Christ the Priest (CCS), a Public Association of Christ’s Faithful founded in Australia in 1954. The missionary out-reach of this society is primarily via the Intensive Apostolate. The CCS mission is pastoral towards Catholics, ecumenical to all faiths and missionary to those who as yet do not know the love God has for them.

Growing up in Melbourne, Fr. Gerard worked for nearly a decade in the bus and touring coach industry before being called to serve the Lord and his people. He made final profession of the evangelical counsels in 1985 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1986. Fr Gerard completed both licentiate and doctoral studies in Sacred Theology at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas, Rome.

After ordination Fr Gerard worked as director of the aspirant formation at the Confraternity’s House of Formation in the Diocese of Ballarat and was later Rector. His pastoral experience within a parish team ministry was as an assistant and parish priest. He has held roles in school, hospital and police chaplaincy. He has conducted retreats and seminars in Italy, Spain, the USA and Australia for priests, religious communities and for the laity. He served a term as the CCS Superior General. Presently, Fr Gerard is an assistant priest of the West Wagga Parish in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga and ministers with his community at four Mass centres.

Weekly he gives catechetical and spiritual programs on RomanSky.TV. These talks can be seen on Smart TVs and smartphones.  His series The Compendium our Companion is available on the YouTube ChristThePriest Channel, along with a variety of other talks on ROKU TV.

Firmly believing in the richness and power of the charisms of the Holy Spirit as displayed in the New Testament, Father Gerard encourages everyone to experience the loving and healing presence of God in their life.

Rev Ronald Donoghue CCS

Assistant Priest

Fr Ronald Donoghue CCS is a religious and priest of the Confraternity of Christ the Priest, a Public Association of Christ’s Faithful founded in Australia in 1954.

The missionary outreach of the CCS society is primarily to the Churchless Millions. This ministry is via the Intensive Apostolate. It is a person to person approach, particularly among those who have no “practical” religion or who have fallen away from the exercise of the Christian faith. The CCS mission is pastoral towards Catholics, ecumenical to all faiths and missionary to those who as yet do not know the love God has for them.

Fr Ron studied at both Christ the Priest Seminary and at the Diocesan Seminary of Vianney College Wagga Wagga. He was ordained in 1998 and has ministered in the Wagga Wagga Diocese since that time. He also plays a pivotal role in sustaining the CCS San Isidore community.
